The Spring 2026 season of Healthy Kids Running Series - Buffalo Grove kicked off yesterday to bring together young runners and their families for the first week of this youth running program. The event focuses on encouraging kids to stay active, build confidence, and enjoy a supportive community environment.

Healthy Kids Running Series is a five-week program designed to motivate children to lead active lifestyles while developing self-esteem and sportsmanship. Kids of all ages and experience levels participated in age-appropriate races, from short dashes for younger runners to longer distances for older participants.

Spring Season Kickoff in Buffalo Grove

Today’s opening week featured enthusiastic runners, cheering families, and a fun atmosphere as children lined up for their first races of the season. Events like this provide a positive introduction to running and allow kids to track improvement week after week. The program emphasizes participation, personal growth, and encouragement, making it welcoming for both first-time runners and returning participants.

Week 1 Highlights

The first week of the Spring 2026 session included:

• Vendor booths and giveaways to include the Culver's Mascot!

Each week gives children the opportunity to build endurance, gain confidence, and celebrate progress.
