I woke up this morning to April snow and it got me wondering - is it really still snowing past Easter!?
The snow reminded me of Eric & Julie's wedding in February which happened to be on the snowiest weekend of the year! It had been snowing for days leading up to their wedding and a total of a foot of snow must have fallen.
Our wintry day began at Julie's home where the lovely ladies had their hair and makeup done. Then we had a traditional Catholic full mass at St. Emily's Church in Mount Prospect. Given the weather conditions, Eric & Julie decided against making an extra photo stop considering the likely impassable walkways outdoors. We went on to continue the festivities at Meridian Banquets in Rolling Meadows.
The snow didn't keep the 200+ guests from coming out to celebrate this sweet couple. Guests crowded the dance floor in a traditional Assyrian wedding dance as Eric & Julie made their entrance as husband and wife. I photographed the entrance from the main floor through the excited guests around me. Since Meridian Banquets was transformed from a movie theater, we also had an opportunity to get some aerial photos of the all festivities below from the old projector room.
